QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing is a 3-inch x 4-yard strip of z-folded soft, white, nonwoven, hydrophilic gauze impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that is both safe and effective in accelerating the body’s natural clotting cascade without any exothermic reactions or use of animal or human proteins. 
 
It utilizes the same fast-acting technology adopted by the US military for years to save lives (QuikClot Combat Gauze®). The Bleeding Control Dressing helps blood clot up to five times faster than blood on its own, and it can control bleeding within minutes of application.
